The Ghan Indigenous Pen
$10 AUD
As The Ghan departs the terminal and your thoughts are replaced with the gentle hum of the train, take to pen and paper and start journaling your experience.
Jordan Lovegrove of the Ngarrindjeri people, created artwork representing guests' journey on The Ghan as it travels through Australia's heartland. The train line travels through this sunburnt country represented by the artwork's deep-red background. Camel tracks symbolise the train line, which acknowledges the cameleers who were instrumental in building the historic track. Wavy shapes represent the ancient landscapes of Nitmiluk, the West Macdonnell Ranges and Umoona (The Breakways).
