Journey of the Ghan Indigenous cap
$30 AUD
This artwork is a visual representation of guests' journey on The Ghan travelling between Adelaide and Darwin through Australia's heartland. The train line travels through this sun burnt country represented by the artwork's deep-red background. Camel tracks symbolize the train line, which recognizes the cameleers who were instrumental in building this historical track. The circular islands represent the different experiences guest can choose on their journey and no two islands are alike. This reflects the unique nature of each experience. Finally the wavy shapes represent the ancient landscapes of Nitmiluk, the West Macdonnell Ranges and Umoona (The Breakways).
