'Indian Pacific Indigenous' Water Bottle 600ml

$35 AUD

This artwork is a visual representation of the transcontinental journey of the Indian Pacific from east to west connecting Sydney and Perth. The top left corner shows the waves of the Indian Ocean lapping at Australia's western edge and this is mirrored in the top right corner, representing the Pacific Ocean to the east. Indian Pacific guests are witness to an ever-changing landscape and the rolling hills, flat farmlands and mountain ranges are captured in the pattern work in the upper half of the piece. The lower half of the artwork represents the barren landscape of the mighty Nullarbor. The six meeting places symbolise Kalgoorlie, Rawlinna, Cook, Adelaide, Broken Hill and the Blue Mountains, each a location guests can experience off train. The artwork's focal point is the majestic wedge-tail eagle, the Indian Pacific's motif representing the span between east and west. The eagle glides above the track and presides over the journey.
